I had this thought today while walking to work nice and early.

"all of the most amazing parts of God's creation are already right at my finger tips and fully available to me. Relationship would have to be pretty much the biggest part of this i.e. I have friends; family; brothers and sisters in the church; people I'm just getting to know; people I know and am still getting to know; and people I have not even met yet... Maybe some of whome will be the truest friends I've ever known. God knows..."

And then there is the sunrise, something so simple and yet so amazing. It is there every morning and I'm not always as aware of it as I am right now.

I wonder if I am missing any other amazing simplicities everyday.

God I don't want to miss things, help me to see what you see.

Ben Blondel... Wow, so expressive!
I had a real treat this evening listening to a good old mate Ben from back in the Southside days. Turns out he has his own band going "Death and a Cure". Brother Chad plays some mean accompaniment along with the rest of the band. All in all, a great show!

The Ellington (dare I say it) 'Jazz' club was privileged to have hosted such a raw and even 'rocking' event. A night I'll remember.

Well, impressed is the best word I have for it... Smooth, eligant, fast and all free!
If you haven't considered it yet then I will actually recommend ubuntu for you. And I know it's not Windows 7, meaning it cannot do all the things that windows can... and its not Mac, tho the resemblence is noted. (yes bro I have 3G working)

As you can see I have many of my usual apps or services running that I may need.

Oh, and it is increadibly lightweight and fast, multitasking with differing web browsers in a way which would normally slow my machine significantly seems to work, well even!

It has differences, things that I find quirky I suppose. But not without some kind of workaround. A little time finding a post where someone has gone before you and you can get things working just the way you need. (that is how I learned about 3G)

All in all I must confess that I am enjoying the simplicity! I have even been teaching myself some tricks with the infamous 'terminal'.
(here you can see that I am actually running the Network Manager from this terminal, I had to after I killed it with the System Monitor) I still have much to learn...

This is my buddy Jason… No I am not his stalker, just a good friend. We have synced our lives to the point where we catch almost all the same trains. This will change soon and it’s only for a season, I know. I really do appreciate the friendship we share, it’s worth a lot to me.

This photo was taken as we parted ways this morning. He, on his way to work; while I headed to uni. It’s my last day today, for the semester. Just one assignment left and then I have four exams in a row. My God will help me. On that note, I shall get back to study.

Pictures… What has been happening lately

Well, maybe I often don’t say enough in my blogs. At the same time these pictures don’t entirely tell the story that I most want to tell (entirely).

First of all, my ‘home desktop PC’s video card’ died. This was sad… initially. However now I have, rather well, streamlined my bedroom desk. “Mini” my little Dell, is now the workhorse for all of my personal computations.

(That's right Ja, I just named my Dell.)

Another happenstance, passing just last Thursday, Jason and I found some wonderful photogenic antiquities. That's right, Danger! How cool are these shirts? We match… Funnily enough though, we were actually out that night perusing for mobile phone devices.

Nice!

Next is a photo representing Champion Lakes Christian Church missions Walkathon. It, in truth is merely nothing more than a photo of Navarre leaning on Sam (whilst gazing out across the loch). However this great day was one of glorious fundraising! I still recall the pain and stiffness in my legs when I woke this morning.

This shot is the only nice one of the hail I saw yesterday during Perth’s own Natural Disaster!!! Exciting? Yeah, well I enjoyed it. I actually had the thought cross my mind, that there maybe a tropical cyclone appearing freakishly off our coast, to terrorise our lovely city… (not that exciting)

My sister and I hung out today after uni. This is us at GJ’s in Perth, posers, naturally.

Lastly this is the sunset… Or, what I was able to capture of it on my hand phone (3.2MP). I like it, it is the place where I am finally typing out this blog. (Folks place for dinner)

Wow… I just began reading this really good book today on the train (on the way to uni). It is by Ps Paul Yonggi Cho. (He is from Seoul South Korea).

It is a book on the topic of FAITH! and Oh… how I am getting excited as I read it.

Some truly significant things have happened of late and I must admit, so far I’m not entirely sure what to say except “GOD IS AWESOME” or perhaps “…”.

Either way amazing things have been happening.

I was told the other day that not all of my photos in my blogs are adequately explained. This may be true.

But sometimes I’m simply not sure what to say…

It could be that I simply lack the desire to annotate my pictures, while at the same time having a strong desire to share them with others anyway…

New Armadale Library First Impressions

Well, today I finally visited the new City of Armadale Library. It is located just near the new Merchant Cafe and Jimmy Dean’s… on the other end towards the pet shop.

Directly on top of where the old Servo and Redrooster site.

But a whole other story up!!!

I found it quite large, spacious, welcoming and warm. I found a coffee machine ($2 a pop) and they even have a conference/function room /\ /\

This is the quiet study area… Free WiFi is accessible too.

I actually found some documents regarding the Armadale ARA developments!

My first day back at uni today, and as there were some rather long breaks throughout the day. I thought I should challenge my personal record time. /\

Haha… but overall an exciting day!!! Like really top day!

Following the Cube record attempt I have a tutorial where we made a cubby.

Then I was thinkin of asking some friends to play Frisbee, but on the first day they allow students to park on the one decent patch of grass on campus. =(

But it was a good day!!!!!

My First Lesson Ever!!!

Today I reminisce over the past 48hours of my life, truly wondering what God may have for me next...

On Wednesday I had my first "Official" lesson at my prac school. What exactly did I do with the kids???
MAKE SLIME!

Just in case you are wondering why; well there actually were some specific outcomes which were mostly all met. Mostly. Our investigation was to indentify Solids and Liquids. This was actually quite successful, for about 1/2 of the students.
The reason this was so is because the type of slime we were making is "Cornflour Slime". This solution (shown in green) is a "shear thickening" liquid, which essentially means: apply 'more pressure' and it becomes like a solid; apply 'less pressure' and it will behave more like a liquid (wiki)...
...However, the local supermarkets only stocked enough MAIZE (authentic)Cornflour for half the class. This left the other half of the class with a solution which was more like "Glue" than anything else.
Supermarkets... shame on you!!! Using wheat as a substitute for corn...

This didn't seem to bother the kids mind you. It seems they manage fun by default.

Overall, not a perfect lesson. But there were smiles on the kid's faces (And dark stains from food dye on their hands) symmetrical (Ctrl+right click, for wordweb check) - (random) a word Jason wanted to spell... (i am in his room now yes, we are blogging together. anyways back to my story)

Each child at the end of the day also had some slime to take home, in a "sealed plastic sandwich bag" (well they were sealed when I gave them out). I was later told today by one student that his slime had exploded all over his bag... well... hmmm.

I wonder what life might be like tomorrow, I have another lesson. YAY!

Btw, a side note I need $600 really quick...

Anyone have any (legal, moral, asexual) ideas about how I could achieve this???

Just today I was thinking about this flower! I don't know it's name... my Dad does. But man WOW! I still hold that this is THE FINEST picture I've taken to date! I give all the credit to God because He made this Incredible plant, and caused it to bloom like it did just when i happened to be there.

As it happens, this photo was taken at Canning dam , haha. KK funny side-story, shaun and myself went there a couple of weekends ago. I was hoping to see such a sight again, but didn't. And its ok. It just reminds me that we can't capture, or contain God! Or His Creation, each day is meant to be unique! He is simply too infinite to let such moments stand still, they continually change to show so many angles of His Glory.

Reminiscing is good for a time... but time is ever-passing.

Well so far my first week at uni is going well! Catching the train places again is a lil more exciting than being stuck in peak hour traffic for ages. im sure its cheaper too.

Cool is that you can read and or snooze while ur on the train so, it's likable. plus its good to have something I need to adjust to! As you can see I've had the camera around with me... mostly just to fill in the big blank gaps 4 now... im still getting to know the place of course.

This is a shot outside my second lecture today... I was actually very suprised by the campus architecture, to be honest I was actually expecting to be less impressed. Today I had two lectures rather late so i slept in. Thinking I would have plenty of time, I lingered on the way today... and ended up being late! =(

But it turned out well, I ended up sitting next to two ppl who's names I can remember!!!! Wow! Probably cos i wrote them down. so yeah!

After that lecture i had some business to attend to at 'student central', so i took my waiting queue card and sat dowm on one of the Jazzy lookin' bean-bags in the waiting area! Yup it was very comfy.

later on, it was time for home... but public transport took me for a ride not like the usual trip on the train. There was work commencing on the tracks, so i had a 'train replacement bus' take me home!

Well today was an incredibly eventful day! With many eventful things happening.

But first up yesterday was the big AMANDA DAY. Our wonderful friend amanda bennet arrived back in Perth for just less than a day, she will be studyin in Melbourne now so... She will be missed.

He didn't even touch his prize! CHOCOLATE!

Well i did it!!

As it turns out, my bikes been fixed up since I got back from overseas so it turns out (thankyou secrete unnamed person). All I needed to do was go outside and check it... So I did that yesterday then thought to myself, "why don't i go for a ride!?"

So I did! First to the BP petrol station just to get some more air in the tires, then! Straight up into Clifton Hills! (I was thinking rugged terrain to test the tyres. To make sure they could hold the air) When I reached the water tower behind Rainer's place I had a sudden thought, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Then I relised, "Hey, I can go for regular rides again now too!"

And then it struck me! So I quickly sent some messages declairing my joy!
I didn't get much further before Jason gave me a call, "Hey, how are you bro!"
Jason replied, "Yeah I'm fine. Do you want to go do for a ride together?" he asked.
"Yeah ok!" I announced, "I'll see you in 4 minutes!" Then I hung up.

A quick turn-around on the track and i began the decent down to Jason's place!

I arrived in about 4 minutes, had a glass of "Super Athletic hospital grade Hydrolation Fluid" (h2o from the fridge), and then asked Jason, "So do u want to go to Champion Lakes??"
He replied, "Yeah, Cowabunga!!!" So off we went!

The Sun was there! (Jono: Wow, we have Sun in Australia!) And all in all we had a very nice ride around the lake, talking about many things as we went.

I do wish more people could have been there! It was really great!

This was the half "Rocky" pose I was hoping would win me some comments! haha but oh well, it was only a handphone camera.

Well this is a thankyou blog more than anything else. For those that don’t know, Rainer and have just come back from a long trip over in Singapore.

Firstly I’d like to thank Tiger airways for flying us all the way to the island/city/nation! Their trouble-free service played the biggest part in our travels (duh). Secondly I need to thank the Xie Family (Adelene, Andy and Audrey) for their most prompt hospitality. Without which we would have had no initial place to stay. A Huge thank you to all who met as at the airport for our arrival, (on separate days) this made for a wonderful warm first few days.

Sister Wan Ping and Brother Tim! Who knows how much we would have missed out on if it were not for your essential presence? So thanks. Especially to Pastor Daniel! Who kindly offered up his home for us to stay, and also for being so thoughtful in finding appropriate things for us to do! (I hope we can offer you as memorable a time should you visit us again!) To Muen and all those who helped us with transport and other helps. And all the leaders we were among, you are an amazing team/ (better) family!

I want to thank all of Muen’s Family and Xin Long’s family too, of course for hosting us for our last 2 weeks! There are many many more and if your name is not mentioned simply comment on this blog and I can make amendments. So much of our stay was made better by all those who simply hung out with Rainer and me while we were staying. Thank you. But of particular mention I want to thank Luwei and Sylvester who are like Aussie Brothers in another country.

Thanks to all of Fervour and all the others from service one, and everyone else from service two! You know who you are! You guys are champions, all-over! We felt very welcome the entire time we were among you all.

Wow, So this week was quite an Adventure, I still think that maybe... hmmm, well it's like 1:30 am and Rainer and I are at Muen's place now, we've just moved out of Ps Daniel's place ---

Well, i just thought i might share a lil bit before i get on a plane headed for Singapore later this evening.

Like this photo?? its just a little piece of perth, and although i know im in for a huge adventure in AsiaLand im sure im still gonna miss things too, take this sunset for example...

And then on Friday Dad wanted to go for a Helicopter ride around the CBD.

Man I LOVE Saturdays!

I love Saturdays, in the morning "I dont have work!" and then theres the sleep!
Man, I was just thinking all these things this particular morning when I woke up. I could smell and hear the cooking of bacon and eggs (knowing it was ravi doing his saturday morning routine). A smile came across my face as i turned on my computer and grabbed the camera. I opened Winamp the clicked play on "UB40's greatest hits" with the bass fully cranked up!
Then i opened the door and walked out to my Saturday Morning! (snapping as i went!)

And i was right Ravi was cooking up feast!

Then I felt the freedom to go for a STROLL cos i didnt have work!! and man its a clear fine day! wow! and it just made me think of how i am actually gonna miss some things about Perth while im away. Do I love my home? Australia? YES! but i am so thankful for such a great opportunity to travel! God is Sweet As!!!

And see my lil Getz even likes the sunshine!

And you know what else? There are these sweet as roses out the back!
I didnt even notice before! haha, spose its cos im usually always rushing off to work. See this is why i Love Saturdays!!!!

Duuude! what is up with the word chasing??

You readers are probably like: "What is he on about now?", and "Why are there no pictures in this post?". Well I'll get to that...
Now I dont know how this happened exactly but here is how it went...
Well I was online tonight and as usual talkin with ppl on msn, as you do. One particular convo with Drey however sparked something, and all we were talking about was life, pressure, studies, etc... and then I was just like, "how the golly do we get throu life God?" (and I recon at that point he musta been like, "Well i'm glad u asked")
and then it was just like
...chasing...
"chasing??"
...chasing...
"we chase God??" ...yeah... and i was just like woooooooh "write that down!" so instead i typed it into the convo, but then more came! ah huh! so... i stopped typing and grabbed a pad next to me and started writing. And this is what i got:

"Chasing God helps,
it helps with everything!
and it might just be that when you have chased Him long into next year, that where you find yourself; is actually where all of those things (that were previously troubling you) end up all sorted out anyway!
So Chase God!"

and you know what? My own experiences actually confirm to me that this is true.
and then i knew this is what it linked with:

So it got me thinkin, "chasing". we all chase things, all of us do. But what we need to be chasing is God! and Him First! i could go on and on.... but i wont.
I know it says, "Seek First" but think chasing just for a sec. we all chase things, but what do u chase after most?
SEEK - The present imperative form of the verb (Gr zeµtoµ) indicates a continual or constant seeking. (King James Bible Commentary)
But think Chasing, really! Think about it.

In all a lot of other things happened tonight! I even got really annoyed at one point.
But thats not important. This Is!

Chase God? well thats what im going off to do now, Chase God.

The Bag Venture

Wow, so yeah i went shopping in the afternoon at harbourtown. with a $30 gift voucher in hand and no clue what to get, what was i to do?? I remembered a bag myself and shaun had been looking at another time so i suppose i simply gravitated towards the Nike outlet. I found the Bag and spent a long time inspecting it at first, and with sister-in-law Jess's helpful guidance i didnt stay in any one place to long. Unfortunately the Bag was $35, but i decided to chip in a lil' more and get it anyway.

As it turned out, just when i went to pay 4 it there was some 40% off sale, so when i went to pay i was told i could go back and grab something else to bring the purchase from $21 up to $30.

So i ended up buying 2 pairs of Nike socks too!!!
Wow!!!

So now i've transfered all the goodies from Jonni's old 'man bag' to the new model. and i must say it accommodates all the items very comfortably .

so yeah, and it even has a laptop compartment. However as do not have a lappy i will work around that bonus feature for the timebeing.

And thats the new bag!!!

And my classic Tranformers mascot bag??? What will become of it???
Well for now rest assured i will still keep it, and def go out wearing it at times, but for now... i think i will shelve it!

Singapreans.. if u havent captured any of the 'mini bag (old transformers)' action yet, relax! It will be coming to visit with me in singapore!!! So if u really wan, request it and it'll come out to party! Go Optimus Prime!

Well this should be good.

I hope you can all enjoy this and find heaps to comment about. But to tell the truth, I have been wanting to post something like this for quite some time. Yes, it is about my first and most recent trip out of Australia and i do wish to share it with all.

On Monday the 26th of November 2007, 11 Aussies departed for singapore to join with young people from Youth Impact on the mission field in NongKhai, Thailand.

They arrived, were warmly welcomed, and began to learn the names of their new "Family members"

Then there was another short flight followed by a 10 HOUR ROAD TRIP!!!!
WOOHOOOO!
We even managed to stop and eat!!!

The Bluff

well, I think im falling in-love with Gods creations, AGAIN!
How awesome is it to stand at the peak of a mountain and just AWE-SOME!!! NESS!!!

So this is what took place...
Just last weekend Rainer, Andy, Peter and myself took off Friday after noon for a 5 hour drive down to the Stirling Range National Park to camp out for the weekend. We brought food and provisions for the whole weekend and we stayed in a tent!!!
On the Saturday we climbed to toughest peak i've ever tacked in my life! Toolbrunup http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toolbrunup
Its was intense!!! But sooooooooo lovable! we practically chillaxed all sunday with a long drive down to Albany, but then... on our last day! Monday! we scalled the infamous Bluff Knoll http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluff_Knoll
Views were soooooooooo spectacular!!! woohoo.

Yeah, anyways. im loving it! So next time we wanna try camping up ontop of the biggest one!!
